Obituary for Angela M. Izzo Minckler

ANGELA M. IZZO MINCKLER

Mrs. Angela M. Izzo Minckler, 44, of Poughkeepsie, NY, originally from Westport, CT and wife of Lawrence A. Minckler Jr. AKA Cisco, passed away at her father’s home in Westport, CT surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday August 5, 2015.

Angela was born January 5, 1971 in Bridgeport CT and is the daughter of Bernard Izzo
and the late Maureen Cleary. Angela was a 1989 graduate of the American School for the Deaf. She attended the University of Gallaudet and went on to Southern Connecticut where she graduated with a Bachelors degree and then she received her Masters degree in Education from the College of New Rochelle in. Angela was a member of the National Deaf Parents Committee, a member of the National Deaf Poker Tour, New England Deaf Poker Tour and a member of the Connecticut Deaf Pageant Committee. She was a teacher at Dutchess Community College.

Survivors in addition to her husband Cisco include her daughter; Mika Izzo Minckler, her step children; Marcel, Lawrence, Kyle, Nicolas, Bridget, Dakota and Savannah, her father Bernard Izzo, one brother; Bernie Izzo Jr., many aunts and uncles, many cousins and to many friends to count.

The family will receives friends in the Doyle Funeral Home 371 Hooker Ave. Poughkeepsie, NY on Sunday August 9, 2015 from 2 to 6 PM and then again on Monday August 10, 2015 in the Harding Funeral Home 210 Post Road East, Westport, CT from 4 to 8 PM. Friends are invited to attend a funeral on Tuesday August 11, 2015 at 11 AM meeting directly at St. Luke Church 84 Long Lots Road Westport, CT Interment will follow in Assumption Cemetery 73 Greens Farms Road Westport, CT.
