DERMOT P. O’LEARY
Dermot P. O’Leary, 41, of Fairfield passed away Sunday, June 10th in his home.
Dermot was born in Stamford, Connecticut, February 1, 1971. He was the son of Mrs. Mary O’Leary and Andrew C. O’Leary . He was a resident of Fairfield for the past thirty-seven years. Dermot was a CNC Machinist employed by James Ippolito Co. in Bridgeport. He was a graduate of Fairfield High School, class of 1989, and attended Sacred Heart University.
Dermot leaves behind his loving parents, Mary O’Leary of Fairfield, CT and Andy O’Leary of Bridgeport, CT, as well as two brothers, Brian O’Leary of Fairfield, CT and Aidan O’Leary of Hamden, CT. Dermot is also survived by his nieces and nephews Fiona, Conor, Ava, Sinead, and Declan; his Aunt Elizabeth and Uncle Joseph Muldoon; sisters in-law Carrie and Meigan O’Leary; and many extended family members throughout the United States and Ireland. Dermot was a loving, gentle person who valued his family above all else. He was a doting uncle to his nieces and nephews who adored their “Uncle Dermy” immensely. Dermot was an avid sports fan and spent many a Sunday with his Uncle Joe rooting for the NY Jets. He enjoyed frequent trips to Ireland to spend time with his extended family. Dermot’s generosity of spirit and adoration for his family will be sorely missed.
Friends are invited to greet the family Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM and attend a funeral service at 7:00 PM in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Rd., Fairfield, CT with Rev. Victor Martin Pastor of Saint Thomas Church officiating.
