HARRY SEBASTIANUS EHRISMANN

Harry Sebastianus Ehrismann, 90, of Weston, Connecticut, husband of the late Maria “Riet” Theresia Ehrismann, passed away Thursday, September 15th peacefully in the company of his family.

Mr. Ehrismann was born January 2, 1921 in Rotterdam, The Netherlands son of the late Harry and Andrina (Jansen) Ehrismann. Harry immigrated with his family to the United States in 1950 and settled in Connecticut residing in Weston for the past thirty-eight years. He was President of Overhead Door Company of Norwalk, Inc. Mr. Ehrismann was an avid soccer player as a young man and played semi-professional soccer in The Netherlands for Sparta Rotterdam. Mr. Ehrismann was also a former member of the Knights of Columbus - Westport Council.

Survivors include three sons: Anthony W. Ehrismann and Francis P. Ehrismann, both of Norwalk, CT, and Paul C. Ehrismann of Weston, CT; seven grandchildren, one great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Ehrismann was predeceased by his wife of 67 years this past August 28, 2011 and by two other sons, Harry and Lawrence Ehrismann.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 22nd in the Harding Funeral Home, 210 Post Rd. E., Westport from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, September 23rd at 11:00 AM meeting directly at Saint Francis of Assisi Church, 35 Norfield Road, Weston; entombment will follow in Willowbrook Cemetery, 395 Main St., Westport.
