Obituary for Lyle Johnson

LYLE JOHNSON
Ronald Lyle Johnson Aug. 26, 1965-Aug. 27, 2013
Lyle passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 in New York City, New York after battling Stage IV Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma with CNS involvement. Carol and his "beautiful blue-eyed boys" were the nucleus of his life and he was able to spend his last days enjoying their company.
Lyle was born in Amarillo and spent the majority of his early years in Pampa with his parents David “Ronnie” and Linda Johnson and sister, Melanie. He graduated Pampa High School in 1983 and then went to Texas Tech where he earned a Finance degree in 1989. Later, he went on to acquire an Accounting degree and numerous other certifications. In 1990 he married his "F/L," Carol, and made the it to the 23 year milestone in January of this year. In 1997 he welcomed his first son, Jaden, into this world and in 2001 he welcomed another son, Colin.
Lyle had a short but tough battle with cancer, starting with the diagnosis in April of this year. Every day he lived with hope, love, and humility. Lyle was indebted to his friends and family for the assistance and unconditional love they showed to him throughout the years during his battle he was especially grateful for the love and generosity of his “sister” Laura and Skippy. He was truly loved by many and will be missed by all, especially his family.
Lyle would be honored that you took the time out of your lives to share your thoughts and prayers with his family. Please sign the guestbook and Carol would love for you to email any “Lyle stories” or memories to be passed along to the boys so they can have even more memories of their dad. Please email "the stories" to caroljadencolin@aol.com.
A memorial trust has been established for Jaden and Colin’s college education. If you so desire and in lieu of florals, donations may be made to the trust through the following address: Jaden and Colin Johnson Trust, 606 Post Road East, Box 675, Westport, CT 06880.
